Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2013
I provide counseling to adults struggling with multiple concerns such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic illness, pain, addiction issues and more.
My experience working in integrated medical clinics led me to approach counseling from a whole-person health perspective. I believe it is important to understand the ways in which our brains and bodies interact to affect our mental and emotional health. My training in EMDR can sometimes be a helpful framework to understand how our past experiences can continue to impact us both mentally and physically.
My therapeutic style draws from several approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and person-centered therapy. I have diverse training in counseling theory and techniques so that I can cater my approach to best suit your needs. My belief is that effective therapy is a partnership between therapist and client, working together to identify and remove the barriers keeping you from reaching your goals. I would love to partner with you on your journey toward better health and wellness.
